The new 1,059-stall Park & Ride lot is now open at Mid-Continent Airport, replacing the former Park & Ride lot at the same exit off of Mid-Continent Drive. The new lot is much larger than the former lot and will alleviate overflow parking conditions experienced during peak travel seasons.

The new Park & Ride lot is located directly north of the former Park & Ride lot and is marked with red and black signs. Courtesy shuttle vans will serve this lot and rotate between the terminal building and lot approximately every 15 minutes. The fee to park in this lot is $7 a day, and payment must be made with a debit or credit card. The lot is not staffed with a cashier.

Four shelters are located in the lot, equipped with emergency phones for customer assistance. Shuttle vans will pick-up and drop-off customers at the shelters.  Security cameras are posted for 24-hour surveillance. Twenty-four ADA stalls are provided in this lot near the shuttle shelters. Additional free ADA parking stalls in the short-term lot have been  installed for customers who prefer to park close to the front of the terminal. The cost of the Park & Ride lot was approximately $3 million, and was paid entirely by airport funds. Lafarge was the contractor on the project and HNTB/PEC did the design.

The former Park & Ride lot will be the site for the new Air Cargo building. Ground work has already begun for this facility. The new terminal building will be located in the area of the existing cargo facility, which will be demolished.
